SafeHost International Academy Celebrates Excellence, Inclusion as Learners Shine at 2026 Graduation Ceremony

By TQM News,

There was an atmosphere of joy, hope, celebration, and inspiration as SafeHost International Academy held its 2026 Graduation Ceremony on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the school’s premises, bringing together parents, guardians, educators, board members, partners, and well-wishers to celebrate the remarkable achievements of its learners.

The colourful event was more than just a graduation ceremony. It was a celebration of resilience, inclusive education, personal growth, and the belief that every child—regardless of ability—deserves the opportunity to learn, develop, and reach their full potential.

The ceremony featured the graduation of 21 neurotypical learners, alongside a unique and inspiring recognition of the progress made by the school’s neurodivergent learners through individualized educational milestones.

A Vision of Inclusive Education

Delivering her keynote address, the Executive Director of SafeHost International Academy, Mrs. Ngozi Joy Belolisa, described the occasion as another significant milestone in the school’s journey of providing quality, inclusive, and holistic education.

She expressed profound gratitude to God for His faithfulness and guidance, acknowledging that every achievement recorded by the institution has been made possible through divine grace.

“It is my great privilege and honour to warmly welcome you all to the 2026 Graduation Ceremony of SafeHost International Academy. Today marks another significant milestone in the history of our school as we celebrate the achievements, growth, resilience, and success of our learners,” she said.

Mrs. Belolisa encouraged the graduating learners to embrace the future with courage and determination, urging them to uphold the values of excellence, integrity, compassion, discipline, respect, and resilience.

She reminded the graduates that graduation is not the end of learning but the beginning of a new chapter filled with opportunities and responsibilities.

“Dream boldly, work diligently, and never stop believing in your God-given potential. Remember that every great achievement begins with the courage to take the first step,” she advised.

Every Child Matters

One of the defining moments of the ceremony was the school’s strong reaffirmation of its commitment to inclusive education.

Mrs. Belolisa emphasized that SafeHost International Academy believes every child is uniquely gifted and deserves access to quality education tailored to their individual strengths and needs.

According to her, the institution remains committed to providing an educational environment where every learner is seen, valued, supported, and empowered to succeed academically, socially, emotionally, morally, and creatively.

She explained that the school’s vision goes beyond academic excellence to nurturing confident, compassionate, and purpose-driven individuals capable of making meaningful contributions to society.

“Our commitment is to create a learning environment where excellence and inclusion go hand in hand, ensuring that every learner is equipped with the knowledge, skills, values, and confidence needed to thrive in an ever-changing world,” she stated.

A Unique Graduation Model for Neurodivergent Learners

Unlike conventional schools where graduation simply means moving from one class to another, SafeHost International Academy adopts an individualized approach for its neurodivergent learners.

The school explained that graduation for these learners represents a review and transition of their Individualized Education Programme (IEP) rather than a traditional class promotion.

Following a comprehensive assessment of each learner’s development, educators carefully design new learning programmes that reflect the progress already achieved while setting fresh goals for continued growth.

This personalized approach ensures that every learner advances at a pace that aligns with their individual abilities, developmental needs, and educational goals.

Another visible indicator of progress is the transition in school uniforms.

As learners mature into adolescence, their uniforms change to reflect their new stage of development and encourage greater independence and responsibility.

The school disclosed that two neurodivergent learners will transition to new uniforms beginning next term, symbolizing their movement into a more mature phase of learning and personal development.

According to the school, this transition is intended to encourage learners to gradually leave behind childhood behaviours while embracing greater responsibility, confidence, and age-appropriate social skills.

The initiative reflects SafeHost International Academy’s philosophy that success should be measured not only by academic performance but also by meaningful personal development and life skills.

Parents Applauded for Their Commitment

Mrs. Belolisa also paid glowing tribute to parents and guardians for their unwavering support and confidence in the school.

She acknowledged the sacrifices, prayers, encouragement, and collaboration of families, describing them as indispensable partners in raising responsible future leaders.

She noted that the strong partnership between parents and the school continues to create an environment where children can flourish and discover their full potential.

Teachers Recognized as Life Changers

Special appreciation was equally extended to the teachers and members of staff whose commitment, patience, professionalism, and dedication have continued to shape the lives of learners.

Mrs. Belolisa praised the educators for going beyond classroom instruction to build confidence, inspire hope, nurture character, and transform lives.

She thanked them for believing in every learner and for consistently giving their very best despite the challenges associated with educating children with diverse learning needs.

Awards and Gifts Highlight the Celebration

The graduation ceremony also featured the presentation of awards to learners who distinguished themselves through outstanding academic performance, exemplary conduct, and remarkable personal growth.

Several students received awards in recognition of their achievements, while numerous gift items were distributed, adding excitement and colour to the celebration.

Parents, family members, and guests cheered enthusiastically as award recipients proudly received their honours, creating memorable moments for everyone present.

A Bright Future for Every Learner

As the ceremony drew to a close, Mrs. Belolisa reaffirmed the school’s unwavering commitment to innovation, excellence, inclusion, and holistic development.

She encouraged all learners to remain kind, resilient, disciplined, and committed to lifelong learning, reminding them that true success is measured not only by achievements but also by character.

Addressing the graduates one final time, she urged them never to forget that they will always remain members of the SafeHost International Academy family.

The Qualitative Magazine’s Perspective

The 2026 Graduation Ceremony of SafeHost International Academy once again demonstrated that inclusive education is not merely about giving children access to classrooms—it is about recognizing the unique potential of every learner and providing individualized support that enables each child to thrive.

The school’s innovative approach to celebrating the progress of neurodivergent learners through Individualized Education Programme (IEP) transitions, alongside the graduation of neurotypical learners, serves as a powerful example of what true inclusion looks like in practice.

By celebrating every milestone, no matter how small, SafeHost International Academy continues to redefine educational success, proving that every child deserves to be seen, valued, supported, and empowered to become the very best version of themselves.

As conversations around inclusive education continue to gain momentum in Nigeria, institutions like SafeHost International Academy are showing that when schools embrace diversity, invest in individualized learning, and celebrate every child’s progress, they create a future where no learner is left behind.
