Mrs Universe semi-finalist donates to people with disabilities

Thembi Maisela, from Burgersfort, is devoted to her community and believes in beauty with a purpose.

A Mrs Universe Africa semi-finalist and the founder of Queens with Purpose, a non-profit organisation (NPO) Thembi Maisela, is devoted to assisting people with disabilities.

With help from local businesses, Maisela recently donated food parcels and clothes to local disability centres.

The beneficiaries are Rehlahleng Special School, Rock of Offense Stimulation Centre and Lehlaba Protective Workshop. All the donations we made during the month of February.

The team handing over clothes at Lehlaba Protective Workshop.“I wanted to show love to the disabled. I stands for human rights in particular the rights of the voiceless, the right of people with disabilities, I am their voice, their hope and their light.”

She told Steelburger/Lydenburg News she has a passion for people with disabilities and that is the reason she started her own NPO in 2019 to support them. “Queens with Purpose has always assisted the needy and the vulnerable.”
