LAGOS – In a demonstration of its commitment to corporate social responsibility and disability inclusion, Bond FM has donated food items to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) through the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA).
The donation was presented during a courtesy visit by the General Manager of Bond FM, Alhaji Abdul Wahab Akosile, and members of his management team to LASODA. The General Manager of LASODA, Mrs. Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal, was represented at the event by the Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mrs. Omolade Sonubi.
Speaking during the presentation, Alhaji Akosile said the initiative forms part of Bond FM’s annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme aimed at supporting vulnerable members of society, particularly Persons with Disabilities.
He noted that partnering with LASODA would ensure the relief materials are distributed to those who need them most.
“Giving back to society through agencies like LASODA is one of the best ways to ensure that these relief items reach the intended beneficiaries,” he said.

Also speaking, Bond FM’s Head of Marketing, Mrs. Omoye Arauhi, commended LASODA for its unwavering commitment to promoting the welfare, inclusion, and empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. She reaffirmed the station’s support for disability inclusion, assuring that the disability community will continue to have a voice on Bond FM through its programming.
Responding on behalf of the General Manager of LASODA, Mrs. Sonubi expressed appreciation to Bond FM for the generous donation. She assured the management of the radio station that the items would be distributed transparently across disability clusters, registered disability homes, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and eligible individuals with disabilities to ensure they reach the intended beneficiaries.

The presentation was attended by the Head of News and Current Affairs at Bond FM, Mr. Abiodun Elugbaju; the News and Current Affairs Officer, Mr. Adeyemi Adesanya; and members of the LASODA management team.
The donated items comprised 60 cartons of noodles, 50 packs of spaghetti, 15 bags of semolina, and 12 bags of 50kg rice, reflecting Bond FM’s continued commitment to supporting the welfare and well-being of Persons with Disabilities in Lagos State.
The gesture highlights the important role that corporate organisations can play in complementing government efforts to improve the lives of Persons with Disabilities through strategic partnerships and inclusive social interventions.
