Lois Auta recognized among two others as the Most Outstanding Woman Leader in Nigeria

Lois Auta-Udonkanta, the President of Network of Disabled Women and the Founder, Executive Director of Cedar Seed Foundation has been appointed among the top three nominees for the Most Oustanding Woman Leader in Nigeria.

This recognition came at the maiden edition of the International Women’s Day Awards Gala, 2022.

The Awards Gala organized by Female Ambassadors in Nigeria with support from the British High Commission, Abuja, Nigeria, UN Women Nigeria, Ambassador of France in Nigeria and a host of others to celebrate outstanding Nigerian women.

The awards was meant to recognize and honour individuals who have championed women’s political and socio-economic empowerment in Nigeria. The nominees for this award included: 1. Lois Auta, President of Network of Disabled Women2. Her Excellency, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, First Lady of Ekiti State who went home with the award.3. Dr Abiola Akinyode Afolabi, the Founder of Women Advocates Research and Documentation Centre (WARDC).

Dr. Abiola Akinyode Afolabi in her speech commended the organizers and said that it is deserving recognition for the beautiful work they are doing to encourage women.

“We celebrate Lois Auta for continuing to blaze the trail for Women living with disabilities” she added.

Meanwhile Lois thanked the European Union for exposing her to more opportunities through the nomination saying it would open her to a whole new world of opportunities while giving her a much needed platform to thrive.
