A blind man in Plateau State lost his wife, children, house, shops to attackers, NAB seeks assistance for him

It was a sad Sunday evening 23rd May, 2021 in Dong Community as unknown gunmen attacked and sadly a member of Nigeria Association of the Blind (NAB) Plateau State, Matthew Ivi lost his wife and his only two children during the attack.

As his wife and two children were killed, not too long ago, attackers burnt down his house and 2 shops completely in a village located at Miyango Bassa LGA. That incident forced him to relocate to Dong community where he now suffer grievous lost.

Matthew is a blind trainee from NAB Plateau’s Voice Project “ICT Sight for the Blind” Jos, Plateau state. He was newly admitted as a student of the University of Jos,. He is a very hardworking person, multi-talented, a singer, farmer etc but now, he is highly traumatized left with little or nothing.

Joshua Yenle, the Chairman, Nigeria Association of the Blind and the Coordinator, ICT Sight for the Blind Plateau state, plead for assistance for Matthew Ivi in whatever way to help him get over this situation.
