Qatar, Inuwa Foundations Donate Motorcycles, Sewing Machines, Laptops to 500 People including PWDs in Jigawa

Qatar, Inuwa Foundations Donate Motorcycles, Sewing Machines, Laptops to 500 People in Jigawa

No fewer than 500 persons, comprising men and women including persons with disabilities, have received various empowerment tools donated by the Qatar Foundation in collaboration with Mallam Inuwa Foundation in Jigawa State.

The Foundation is an initiative of Mallam Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director of the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA.

The presentations of the empowerment items were made at Inuwa Foundation Headquarters in Hadejia local government area of Jigawa State on Monday.

According to the Chairman of the Mallam Inuwa Foundation, Dr. Hussaini Yusuf Baba, 200 women were empowered with sewing machines, while another 300 received grinding machines.

“We also gave out three computers, 13 Carpentry tools and 13 motorcycles to some disabled persons.

“This is part of the foundation vision of supporting people especially the needy with the support of Qatar Charity,” he said.

He added that the foundations had organised eye medical outreach that provided surgery and medications for people with eyes problem in Jigawa.

He expressed gratitude to the Qatar Foundation for its immense support particularly Sheikh Khalid Al Dohawy who took participated actively in the programme.

On his part, Jigawa Deputy Governor, Mallam Umar Namadi, who represented the Governor, Alh. Badaru Abubakar, thanked Mallam Inuwa Foundation for always supporting the less privilege, women and youths in the State.

Emir of Hadeija, Alhaji Adamu Abubakar Maje, commended the efforts of the founder of Mallam Inuwa Foundation, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, for attracting development to Hadejia town and Jigawa State, in extension.

“We are proud of this Foundation. We are also proud of its founder. We have a worthy son that did not forget his people by addressing their demands. Kashifu is a model for all of us, from what we have seen,” Alh. Abubakar Maje said.

The dignitaries later inspected a piece of land allocated for building 50 Houses fir the needy, a school and a Mosque at Bariki, a few minutes drive from the Emir’s palace.

The building is part of the Qatar Charity support programmes and was facilitated by Mallam Inuwa Foundation.

The event was well attended by local government Chairmen, Commissioners and State Assembly members.
