The Executive Secretary, National Commission for Persons With Disabilities Mr James David Lalu has expressed great shock over the demise of the first President of Joint National Association of Persons With Disabilities (JONAPWD), Prince Paul Adelabu who died on the 29th July, 2021 after a brief illness.
While expressing his grief in his office on Friday 30th July, 2021 the ES said that he is yet to come to terms with the fact that such an enigma has departed the mother earth.
In a statement signed by Mbanefo JohnMichael I, Head Media and Publicity (NCPWD) on Friday, Mr. James Lalu described Adelabu as a role model to the entire community of Persons with disabilities and a leader par excellence.
“His doggedness and dedication to National duty was exemplified all through his life time while serving the public conscientiously” he said.
Mr Lalu also commiserates with the entire JONAPWD, Oyo State Government and the Deceased immediate family and assured “that they are not alone in the grief”
He further disclosed that National Commission for Persons With Disabilities will continue to relish his contributions towards advancing the course of PWDs in the society.
Adelabu who was once a Special Assistant to Oyo State former Governor was until his bereavement the Chairman Board of Trustees Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD).
