Gov. Obaseki signs Edo State Disability Bill into Law

The Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki has signed into law, a bill for Law to ensure full integration of persons with disabilites into the society and to establish Edo State commission for Persons With Disabilites.

The governor performed this duty on Wednesday in front of his commissioners and some members of State House of Assembly.

The law will vest in the government the responsibility for the protection of education, Health care, and social, economic, cultural, civil and political Rights of persons with Disabilites in Edo State.

Ann Ojugo, the Chairman of Joint National Association of Persons With Disabilities (JONAPWD) Edo State Chapter in a message sent to The Qualitative Magazine said that PWDs in Edo is very excited with the development and they are grateful to the governor for keeping his promise and to also for the effort to protect the rights of persons with disabilities in Edo State.

Congratulations to Persons with Disabilites in Edo State and entire Edo people.
