Persons with disabilities deserve our support—Rev. fr. Joseph Olisah

TQM report,

Reverend Father Joseph Olisah on Sunday during homily praised persons with disabilities who against all odds have distinguished themselves.

Rev. Fr Joseph who is the parish priest of Catholic Church of Annunciation Parish, Arab Road, Gbazango, Kubwa in the last part of his homily, called the attention of the congregation to the just concluded Paralympics where athletes with disabilities participated in different sporting activities and it was amazing watching them.

His homily was drawn from the first and second reading which focused on parables on disability.

“Persons who doesn’t have hands were swimming perfectly and some of you that have hands, legs, can’t even dare it, you and them who is a person with disabilities” he said.

He also “Steve Wonder became blind from his childhood and he could master the keyboard and produced the best sounds and music that we are all enjoying and you that have been seeing since you were born cannot even know what the different colours of the keyboard represent, let alone producing beautiful sound’ you and Steve Wonder, who is a person with disability”.

He continued by saying it doesn’t matter how you look or your body features, what matters is about to work hard in your state and produce something extraordinary.

These persons with disabilities in spite of their seemingly disadvantages, they are doing amazing things and they need all the encouragement in our society by all and sundry.

He prayed and encouraged the congregation to always support persons with disabilities.
