USAID-Office Of Transitional Initiative (OTI) Under The Nigerian Early Recovery Initiative (NERI) Donated Computers and Office Equipments to Plateau State Disability Rights Commission at the Office Complex In Jos on Friday 10th September 2021.
Presenting the Items, the program officer on behalf of the USAID – NERI team, Mr Paul Mafulul said the equipments donated will enable the commission to reach out to Persons WIth Disabilities from all the 17 LGAs, to enable the Commission have accurate and complete database of PWDs across the State and also to Promote Peaceful Resolutions among Persons With Disabilities in Plateau State.
Responding, The Chairman of the Plateau State Disability Rights Commission, Hon Kyennan Mizim in her acceptance speech thanked USAID -NERI for the donation and promised that the commision will use it judiciously to network and to coordinate the activities of PWDs in the state.
Hon Irimiya Werr, Commisioner for Special Duties, Inter-Governmental Affairs/NGO’S, who represented the Executive Governor of Plateau State, said the items came at the right time as it will go a long way in documenting and updating the data base of PWDs. He also stated that more people were incapacitated due to the recent crisis in the state.
He therefore thanked NERI for the kind gesture. Items donated includes the following;
18 Desktops, Intel Dual Core Processor – Windows 10 – 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD (Includes licensed Microsoft office 2016 and antivirus), 18 Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), 1 HP LaserJet MFP Printer, 1 HP Colour LaserJet Printer, 3 HP LaserJet Printers, 2 Toner for MFP printers, 2 Toner for color printers, 18 TP-Link USB Wireless Cards, 1 Projector, 1 Projector Screen, 2 Universal 4G-LTE Routers, 17 Android Tablets, 3 Office Desks, 14 Office Chairs and 3 Metal Filing Cabinets Among Others.
