Matthew Avi is a visually impaired (blind) man whose house was burnt down with his properties at Farin Mota village in Bassa LGA by unknown gun men in 2017 and in the process loss his brother who was of great help to his family.
He moved to Dong and rented a house after that 2017 unfortunately incident that send him and his family out of his house.
The recent dreaded, unfathomed and painful killings that took place in Dong took away his wife and his two children leaving him in overwhelming multiple traumatic condition that only God can help him overcome.
He is always being led around by his first child that is five years old which was gruesomely murdered alongside his 1 year 11 months brother and mother for an offence they never committed.
He does go to the river with his wife to pack sand and sale to sustain themselves and their children.
The wife also does lead and work with him (the blind Plateau son) at tin mining site as he does tin mining and packing of and for survival

We were in the house that he relocated to in Twanshik last week with the Joint National Chairman of Persons with Disabilities Plateau state chapter in person of Mr Aaron Shindol and the Secretary Voice of Special People, Mr Musa Yusuf Abdullahi.
The man needs real help, if possible government work in order to be able to rise from his economic and social ashes to grace.
