SSAP Hon. Abba Isa Commends Sen. Lawan for Launching Distribution Of Empowerment, Entrepreneurship Materials In Yobe

Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Disability Matters, Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, has commmended the President of the Senate in the 9th Assembly, Sen. Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan for empowering the less privileged in Yobe State.

Hon. Abba Isa, who gave the commendation in a statement issued Tuesday, noted that Senator Lawan’s remarkable contribution to the welfare of the less privileged in the society is a testament to his unwavering commitment to social justice and inclusivity.


Recall that the former President of the Senate had on Christmas day in Gashua town of Yobe State launched the distribution of empowerment and entrepreneurship materials in Yobe North Senatorial District.

According to report, the mega empowerment was performed at the township stadium, Gashua Bade LGA.

The items distributed by Senator Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan includes, Land Cruiser Jeeps to the four APC party Chairmen of the Senatorial District, Peaugeot 406 to Secretaries, Peaugeot 307 to Coordinators, Peaugeot 307 10 Youth leaders, Sharon Buses to Women Leaders, Tractors, Rice milliers, combined harvesters, Hand Tractors, Rice planters, fire fighting truck, 18-seater buses, fridge, freezers, tricycle carriers, tricycles, Keke NAPEP, Motorcycles, grinding machines.

Others are sewing machines, water pump, hand sprayers, Pot and stove, Generators, small harvesters among other items.


In his welcome address, the Chairman Caretaker Committee Bade LGA, Alhaji Ibrahim Babagana
said that Governor Mai Mala Buni has always said, micro, small and medium businesses are always the engines that power lasting and sustainable economic growth. Small businesses are at the forefront of generating employment and providing a means of livelihood to countless people.

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni during his brief address advised the beneficiaries not to sell the items rather make judicious use of the materials to boost their economy.

While appreciating Sen. Lawan’s gesture, the Senior Presidential aide, who is also from Yobe State, stated that the former Senate President has exemplified true statesmanship through his recent initiative of distributing empowerment materials to those in need, adding that this noble endeavor reflects a deep commitment to inclusivity and social justice, values that resonate with the core principles of our nation.

The SSAP expressed gratitude to the President of the Senate in the 9th Assembly for his unwavering commitment to the well-being of the less privileged, while enjoining others to emulate the gesture by joining in the noble cause of building a nation where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive.

Hon. Abba Isa described the Sardaunan Bade as a unique leader, stressing that by extending a helping hand, the former Senate President has demonstrated that leadership goes beyond political boundaries and encompasses a genuine concern for the welfare of every citizen.

The Senior Presidential aide said: “In a world often marked by challenges and disparities, it is leaders like His Excellency the Sardaunan Bade who illuminate the path towards a more equitable society.
