The Plateau State Disability Rights Commission is looking forward to working together with the Benue State Disability Community to put into action the National Policy on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
This statement was made by Hon Kyennan Mizim in her goodwill message at the Policy to Action Project Launch / Inception Meeting at Benue Metropolitan Hotel in Makurdi on Wednesday 27th Oct 2021.
The Executive Director of The Disability Rights and Advocacy DRAC said her organization is working as Lead Organization with Disability Advancement Initiative -DAI and SAVWIN (Sound Abilities for Vulnerable Women) as a coalition supported by Disability Rights Fund to implement the Policy to Action Project in Benue and Plateau States to ensure the policy is adopted and implemented.
The Project Launch brought together stakeholders in Benue, Plateau and the FCT for sensitization on the project”s components and to build a consensus to secure the buy in of relevant stakeholders.
Benue State Ministry of Health, the Disability Community and CSOs were represented.
