Nigerian National Association of the Deaf have lamented bitterly over the absence of Deaf Persons in Federal Teachers Scheme( ETS).
During a press conference organised by the group on Wednesday in Abuja, The National President of the group, Dr. Chidi Topaz Olujie expressed his dismay over non employment of Deaf persons at Federal Teachers Scheme while that of Federal Civil Services was since 2016.
He also pointed out that Deaf persons were exclude from the composition of National Identify Management System (NIMS).
He informed that NIMS asked for the list of qualified Deaf persons in 2019 but up till now, nothing has happened.
The group called on government to take the employment of Deaf Nigeirans as a top priority.
