The promoters of The Most Beautiful Deaf Girl in Nigeria Initiative in their doggedness to keep the initiative alive on 25th February, 2020 met with The First Lady of Lagos State Her Excellency Dr (Mrs) Ibijoke SanwoOlu on a courtsey visit.
The team comprised of Former Queen and the coordinator of MBDGN Queen Janet Fasakin, the most beautiful deaf girl in NIgeria Queen Maria Okese, 1st Runner up and Miss Deaf Lagos State Odedina Bosede , Interpreter Bayonle olaoluwa along With actionist Madam Yemis representing Lagos State Deaf Women Wing.
The visit was to create more awareness about the MBDGN in order to get more support for the pageant to make it better and more impactful.
Dr (Mrs) Sanwo Olu as a mother and matron welcomed the team and expressed readiness to partner with the team and find possible ways to strengthen the MBDGN.
The coordinator thanked her Excellency for being dependable and always responding each time the team calls on her. She went on to express gratitude to God for helping in building the initiative because it is passion that has sustained the initiative despite the challenges. She believes that the public will be more aware and receptive to the initiative in the nearest future.
