Mallam Tasiu Shehu Garko, a person with disability has been appointed as the new Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Disabled Matter by Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje
Mallam Garko replaces Hon. Adnan Aliyu who lost his job because he has not done well in the development of disability community since his appointment as the SSA on Disability Matters in the governor’s first term in the office.
Aliyu removal came as a result of protest from some group of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) against his reappointment as SSA on Disabled Matters in this second term in office of the governor.
The Governor yielded to their call and replaced Aliyu with Garko as his new aide on Disability matters.
