Kano State House of Assembly Tuesday passed the Kano State Persons with Disability Amendments Bill, 2019 into law.
Announcing the passage during the House proceedings at the Chamber, Speaker Abdulazeez Garba Gafasa said all the affected clauses for amendment were inserted.
Earlier, Speaker Gafasa had directed the House Clerk, Alhaji Abdullahi Alfa Hausawa to move for the third reading of the bill which he did.
Also before the third reading, the lawmakers had discussed the bill in a Committee of the Whole House (secret sitting) for final scrutiny of the amended bill.
Meanwhile, shortly after the passage, Majority Leader, Hon. Kabiru Hassan Dashi (Kiru) explained that law would enable persons with disability to enjoy more benefit from government policies as well as to protect their rights of citizenship in the State..(The Triumphnews)
