The Joint National Association of Persons with Disability JONAPWD Osun state chapter paid an Advocacy visit to the Floor of Osun state House of Assembly on Domestication of Disability bill on the 31/8/2021 in partnership with Fajemilo Foundation from Lagos lead by Mr Afolabi Festus.
The foundation highlighted what word “Disability” means and the importance of the bill for Disability community and the societies at large.
Mr Onitiju Kehinde, the chairman of JONAPWD of Osun state and who also is the SSA to the Hon Speaker on disability matters expressed his concern about the process of the bill .
According to him the process of the bill have started since 2012 and presently the bill is at the Ministry of Justice for editing and correction.
Rt Hon Timothy Owoeye on behalf of the 7th House of Assembly that before the end of this year it will come to reality and passage of the bill will be considered.
