Friday April 23rd, 2021 will always be remembered as a special moments in Disability Community in Nigeria when one of their finest Irene Patrick-Ogbogu took a marital vow with Christopher Lorsange Orafa in a grand ceremony that was well attended by CSOs, OPDs, families and well wishers.
It was a beautiful sight to behold as Christopher was full of smiles when he was walking down the aisle and Dr. Irene looking like a beautiful queen that she is wheeled through the aisle. It was an emotional moment for all.

It became more emotional when they were taking the marital vow. It was melodious as they profess love to each other. It was a scene that everyone present struggled to see because the event was overcrowded, very many people couldn’t find seat, they were standing but they never felt it because it was a beautiful sight to behold.

The officiating pastor admonished the new couple to always stick to each other and avoid a third party so that their marriage can stand test of time.
The Chairman of the day, Sir. Bright Ekweremmadu also gave the couple a similar advice and prayed that the marriage would be blessed with all the things that makes a good marriage including the fruit of the womb. He prayed that no distance time, we will gather again to celebrate a child.
The wedding ceremony was full of entertainment, dances and games that made the day hilarious.

Director, Special Duties, NCPWD, Lawrence Idemudia, Lois Auta, ED, Cedar Seeds Foundation, Theophilus Odaudu Program Officer, Disability Rights Fund DRF, Susan Kelechi, JONAPWD FCT Chapter, Publicity Secretary, Obinna Ekujereonye, Beatrice Mube, ED, Mimijean foundation and Women leader, JONAPWD FCT, Comrade Muazu Musa, Aleshinloye Ibukun, Agbo Chris, ED, TQM and Secretary, JONAPWD FCT, Barr. Ikem Uchegbunam, and many others who came out to grace this wonderful moment in disability community.
Dr. Irene Ojiugo Patrick-Ogbogu is a woman with disability, the Executive Director, Disability Rights Advocacy Center DRAC, a renowned Disability Organization that played part in actualization of National Disability Act and has been at the forefront propagating the rights of women with disabilities.
TQM learnt that the wedding day was carefully fixed because it was also the birthday of the bride.
“It is a wedding of the century” as it was described by one of well wishers who didn’t disclose her name.
A woman with Disability, Beatrice Mube was excited when she was asked how she was feeling about the event and she told TQM that the bribe is a sister to her so she is extremely happy that her sister has found her soulmate. She wished them happy married life with a lot of goodies associated with marriage.
