Hope Soars Foundation for Widows as part of activities marking 5th Years Anniversary trained and disbursed grant of N25, 000 each to the twenty beneficiaries.
Over twenty widows including women with disabilities after sharing all that were bothering them, there was training of six skills after which twenty were given seed capital of twenty five thousand naira each (#25,000.00) to kickstart businesses based on what they learnt.
The Executive Director and Founder of the Foundation, Mrs. Johnson Folasade in her statement via their official facebook page said that Miss Miracle Adedeji, GoFundMe and other donors made the start up capital possible.
She expressed her gratitude to them and also those who made out time to volunteer at the event.
“Although things they say is different now to when I kick started my own business with N15,000 loan in 2006, but N25,000 seed capital grant each is more an opportunity to the twenty widows including three widows with disabilities than I had”.
She expressed hope that all the beneficiaries will invest the money right, and also pray for the blessings of the Lord to be upon their endevours.
