The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation and Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (NNPC/SNEPCo), Prembly, and Procter & Gamble have supported The Irede Foundation (TIF) on its Annual Advocacy Walk for children with limb loss.

The 2023 Advocacy Walk which took place simultaneously in about 60 locations worldwide was themed ‘A Walk for Inclusion’, and aimed to provide limbs for 200 children with limb loss.

Speaking about the goal of the organization to provide limbs to children with limb loss, Crystal Chigbu, the Executive Director, TIF explained that the organization had provided limbs to 361 children, and aimed to do more.

Chigbu appealed for support from members of the public to make donations that would enable the organization to provide limbs to children with limb loss.

The fundraising campaign that would help raise money for child amputees is tagged ‘The Power of Three Donation Campaign’. It is designed for individuals to donate N3,000 for three months and invite their friends to do the same for the next three months.

Speaking further on that, Chigbu said “in 2022 alone, we gave out a hundred and two limbs and this year, we want to do 200. To do 200 limbs, our budget is over $500,000 but it’s possible with you and that’s why I want you to come on the journey of power of three with me.

“It’s so powerful because it’s you giving N3,000 for three months and calling three of your friends to be a part of it for the next three months also.”

Mr. Kunle Akinkugbe, Chairman, TIF Board of Trustees said “this is the eleventh year of The Irede Foundation, and in 11 years, we’ve achieved a whole lot. All of this we didn’t do alone.

“We did it because we had amazing and supportive people like you by our side, and that’s why we’ll continue to thank you and ask that you continue supporting us.
