Gov Buni donates 3 Buses to Persons with Disabilities

The governor of Yobe State His Excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has donated 3 Sharon Buses to 3 different cluster of disability as his campaign pledge.

The clusters are persons with National Association of Persons with physical disability, Yobe State, Nigeria Association of Blind, Yobe and Nigeria National Association of the Deaf, Yobe State.


In a press release signed by Comr. Mohammed Abba Isa, the APC Zonal Leader for Persons with Disabilities Northeast Yobe State, the governor while presenting the buses to the representative of each association at the government house in Damaturu said he acknowledged the role played by the Persons with Disabilities during the 2019 elections, their amazing contribution towards the victory of APC in the state and Nigeria at large.

The governor said that 3 Sharon Buses presented to them will go a long way to ease their activities within and outside the state.

He advised them to be their brother’s keeper and maintain the unity of the association.

The governor equally gave appointments to the chairman of each association as a special assistant.

According to Comrade Abba Isa, “This is the first time in the history of Yobe that the Persons with Disabilities will be considered worthy for appointment”.


“In fact, they have never had so good before, until this administration where 3 buses were given to Persons with disability, this is unprecedented” he added.


He said: “It is on record that Gov. Buni is one of the governor that identify with the Persons with Disabilities by attending to their needs and providing succour to them. The governor has brought hopes and a sense of belonging to the PWDs in Yobe State”.

He stated “In appreciation of the governor’s transparent gesture to these 3 associations, the PWDs pledge to conduct their activities in an orderly manner and to mobilise their members in the state to vote gov Buni, again in 2023, to enable them to continue enjoying the dividends of his administration”.
