The Kogi State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello has appointed a deaf person Peter Aliyu as his special assistant on Sanitation matters and Comr. Abdulazeez Asadullah Ahmed, a blind person was also appointed as special assistant to the Governor on Media.
it was disclosed in a letter issued by Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade.
The appointment letter stated that the appointment is based on the loyalty of appointees to the government and the appointments have taken effect already.
Arome Ibro, a leader of Disability Community in Kogi State reacting to the appointments, he said that Governor Bello has demonstrated once again his love for persons with disabilities.
