FCT High Court Chief Judge appointed Mrs. Nkem Martins D. Akpuoye as a Disability Desk Officer at FCT High Court, Maitama, Abuja.
This was disclosed in a reply of letter of appreciation written to the Chief Judge by Jake Epelle , The CEO of The Albino Foundation after the Chief Judge’s pronouncement of creating a disability desk officer in March 11, 2021 during a One Day Training of Judiciary Officer on Disability Inclusion which was organized by The Albino foundation.
The Disability Desk Officer would serve a liaison officer for persons with disabilities at the FCT High Court, ensuring inclusion of persons with disabilities in all court activities from provision of sign language interpreter when necessary, all court information in accessible format and implementation of disability law in FCT high Court.
