The Executive Secretary, National Commission for Persons with Disabilities Mr James David Lalu will embark on the inspection tour of Housing facilities of the Federal Housing Authority within Abuja district, today Tuesday 6th of July, 2021 by 9. 30 am.
This information was contained in a press statement signed by Mbanefo JohnMichael I, Head of Media and Publicity (NCPWD) on Monday 5th of July, 2021.
It must be recalled that in line with the 2018 Establishment Act of the Commission as signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 to give representations (5%) to PWDs in all Government establishments, the ES payed a working visit to the Federal Housing Authority Abuja on the 21st of June, 2021 in order to form an alliance to make Housing infrastructure available to Persons With Abilities.
The MD FHA, Senator Gbenga Ashafa gave an assurance that NCPWD would be given preference in the Housing Scheme which has about 300 units in Abuja and 4000 units currently under construction across the country.
On this premise, the ES will embark on the facility tour to ascertain the infrastructure on ground.
