Sokoto State House of Assembly have been read for the second time a bill for law against discrimination of persons with disabilities.
The bill was earlier presented to the house by Alh Hon Maidawa, member representing Shagari State Constituency, he also placed a notice of motion on a Bill for a Law to prohibition of Discrimination against Persons with disability.

It is an advocacy tool or public enlightenment campaign platform to change the mindset of the public about disability because if the public understand the situation, Disability Inclusion will improve and Persons With Disabilities will be able to participate in social, economic and political activities.
