DINABI draws the attention of Gov. Fayemi to ongoing building construction at State Secretariat without accessibility aids

Disability Not A Barrier Initiative has called on his Excellency Governor Kayode Fayemi and Ekiti State Government of Nigeria to call on the Contractor handling a project on the picture below in the State Secretariat to include accessibility aids such as ramp, handrails etc to enable inclusion of PWDs.

The Executive Director, DINABI, Olajide Funso Benjamin Bishop in his facebook page, said they have been at the site on severally occasion to see the contractor, but he is often not available.

We wish to draw the attention of the authority to Part II, Section 3-7 of the Ekiti state Disability Law which mandates that public buildings should have facilities that will make them accessible to persons with disabilities.
