ASLIN Congratulates Timothy Tinat for His Emergence as Board Secretary of WASLI

Association Of Sign Language Interpreters In Nigeria has congratulated Timothy Tinat, the National President, Association Of Sign Language Interpreters In Nigeria (ASLIN) on his emergence of as the board secretary, World Association Of Sign Language Interpreters ( WASLI).

This was disclosed to TQM through a press release signed by The Secretary of ASLIN, Joseph Sunny Collins.

He was elected at the ongoing general assembly of WASLI known as WASLI 2023 Quadrennial Conference in Jeju, South Korea.

“We are pleased to announce the emergence of our National President, Timothy Tinat as the new Board Secretary of WASLI”

“This significant role assumption reflects our association’s commitments to strong leadership and our continuous efforts to advance the interests of our members and stakeholders” they stated.
Speaking further, they said that ” Timothy Tinat
have been an integral part of our association for over a decade, serving as the President of our National body ASLIN with utmost dedication and professionalism.

They informed that as the Board Secretary, Timothy will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the World body WASLI, and bringing his vast experience and knowledge in the field of sign language professionalism, while injecting new perspectives and fresh ideas to drive our association forward.

Reassuring their faith on Timothy to deliver, they informed that his tenure as the National President of ASLIN, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by our profession.

“We have full confidence in Timothy’s ability to strengthen our association’s position as a leading advocate for our industry” they added.

They congratulated him and look forward to his leadership and positive impact he will bring to the advancement of the profession and services to Deaf Community.
