Apostle Johnson Suleman again donates 20m to Benue state for IDPs

Senior Pastor and General Overseer, Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman has again donated 20 million naira to the Benue State government to provide welfare and other basic needs for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the state.

Apostle Suleman made the donation during his visit to the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom who received him and his entourage at the Benue State government house.

This is not the first time the Apostle is donating to support the IDPs.

In 2019 and 2020 when the dreaded Corona Virus caused massive hardship and other challenges on the people, the man of God donated five million naira to Benue State to support the IDPs.

Also, Apostle Suleman who is internationally known for his philantropism equally gave out N10 million naira each to four northern states in 2019 and 2020.

Meanwhile, making the donation to the Benue state governor, Apostle Suleman said that he will never stop nor relent in supporting the internally displaced. He said Benue state has been hard hit by the terrorists who have displaced many Benue citizens and caused them untold hardship.

He said although the government is doing it’s best, it needs the support of the private individuals to solve the predicament which has resulted in the state having many IDPs.

According to him, “it breaks our hearts to see that people have been displaced and they have not been given proper priority and attention.

“When it comes to the issue of IDPs, Benue has been one of the badly hit.”

“So, we are here to identify with you; to tell you that we believe in your cause. Those that are with you and not those against you. That is what matters. Above all, God is with us.”

Apostle Suleman told the Benue state governor that “the IDPs are our concern.” He therefore donated the sum of twenty million naira (20, 000, 000) to Benue state for the support of the IDPs apart from his previous donations to the state and other northern ones.

Receiving him and the entourage, the Benue state Governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom thanked him for visiting and supporting the state in catering for the IDPs.

Governor Ortom who commended him for the generous donation said Apostle Suleman represents hope to the present generation. He said the man of God is a gift of hope to the Benue state people.

According to him, “I thank you for finding time to be here again to bless us. For us, we see you as a blessing to our generation. Any time we see you, we see hope and we see that we are not alone.” Vanguard.
