Anambra State Albinism Association supports Members Down With Skin Cancer

Delegates of the Anambra State Albinism Association-ASAA have received cash donations raised by the Voice of Albinism UK and Voice of Albinism Initiative Nigeria to assist in getting drugs and hospital provisions for some persons with Albinism suffering from severe cancer infections in the state.

In a statement signed by Mr Ben Orizu, the Director Of communications Anambra State Albinism Association-(ASAA) he said that the gesture was facilitated by Comrade Maria Joseph.

The statement revealed that amongst the beneficiaries were Ifeanyi Enemuo from Umuamaku, Deputy Director Of communications Anambra State Albinism Association-ASAA and Raphael Okoronkwo a final year student of federal polytechnic Oko .

He added that the beneficiaries expressed joy for the kindness extended to them, adding that they said the cash which is N50,000 each will not cover the cost but will go a long way in assisting them get the prescribed drugs and some hospital provisions.

They prayed that the Most High continue to bless and replenish the pockets of the donors bountifully.

In partnership with the Swedish Mission Council (SMC), the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), and The Leprosy Mission Sweden, TLM-Nigeria has commenced a Vocational Skills Acquisition Programme for income generation. The delegates were lead by the Chairperson of the association Comrade Vivian Ezeonwumelu. Others includes Onyemeh James Deputy Coordinator, Ben Orizu Director Of communications and Orafu Christiana, a member.
