In a remarkable show of confidence and trust, members of the Nigeria Association of the Blind (NAB), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter, have re-elected Agada Jacob as their Chairman for a second tenure. The election, which took place on Saturday, March 15, 2025, was conducted under a peaceful and transparent atmosphere, reflecting the unity and shared purpose within the association.
Agada Jacob, who had earlier served as Chairman in his first term, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all members, stakeholders, and supporters who stood by him and the association during his first tenure. Speaking after his re-election, Agada noted that his victory was not just personal but a testament to the collective commitment to advancing the rights and welfare of persons with visual impairments in the FCT.
“I am deeply humbled and honored to be returned as Chairman of NAB FCT for another term. This victory is not mine alone but belongs to everyone who has believed in the vision of an inclusive society where the voices of persons with disabilities are heard and respected,” Agada said.
He further extended his appreciation to all those who supported his administration during his first term, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to the successes recorded. “Your support during my first tenure made a huge difference. I will forever remain grateful and pray that God will continue to use you to positively impact the disability community in Nigeria and beyond,” he added.
