Honourable Akin Rotimi, Member, House of Representatives, Ekiti North 1 (Ikole/Oye) Federal Constituency has pledged to support for National Policy On Sexual Reproductive Health Right for Persons With Disabilities with emphasis on women and girls.
The Lawmaker made this promise while declaring AWWDI, Welead Hivos project open in Ikole Ekiti on Friday 15th September, 2023.
The lawmaker who was accompanied by many dignitaries and the Chairman ikole LGA Honourable Biodun Olominu, commended the efforts of AWWDI Welead Hivos towards the women and girls with disabilities in many parts of Nigeria and promised to support SRHR policies at the floor of the National Assembly.
Kolawole Jayeoba, Program Manager at AWWDI while appreciating the lawmaker and other dignitaries explained that project is designed to create about National Policy on SRHR Of Persons With Disabilities With Emphasis On Women And Girls and also to strengthen capacity of women and girls with disabilities to engage duty bearers on the Implementation of the policy.
The participants at the training who are women with disabilities promised to advocate for an inclusive society for all.
