The new President of Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) Abdullahi Aliyu Usman has promised to work hard to unite persons with disabilities to work for the total inclusion of over 31.5 million Nigerians with disabilities.
In a statement signed and made available to press, the new President Abdullahi Aliyu Usman reinstated his commitment to increase engagement with critical stakeholders on policies that will promote compliance to the provisions of the Disability Act.
“As an umbrella organization of all persons with disabilities, I will ensure that more States of the federation are supported to enact the disability act as a critical step towards domestication of the United Nations Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities. I need your prayers and support to succeed in this new assignment” he said.
