Govt Officials, Other Stakeholders pledge support to PWDs in Enugu State as IFEPED organizes workshop

INITIATIVE FOR ERADICATION OF POVERTY AND EMPOWERMENT OF THE DISABLED(IFEPED) a Non Governmental Organization that champions the welfare of the persons with disabilities and indigent persons on Thursday 24th June, 2021 in Enugu organized a one day workshop to create awareness among major stakeholders in Enugu State. The event took place at Agbani, Nkanu West Local government Secretariat of Enugu State.

The Executive Chairman of Nkanu West LGA, Hon. Chief Nwabueze Nnamani who was also the Chief Host of the program showed his massive support and love to the people with Disabilities, with great passion by hosting them inside the EXCO CHAMBERS in the Local Government Secretariat.

In a statement sent to TQM signed by Chijioke Onah, IFEPED Online Media, Hon. Chief Nwabueze Nnamani is the first Local Government Chairman in Nigeria to host the persons with disabilities inside the EXCO CHAMBERS in the country in a such great support and love.

The workshop which witnessed the presence of great dignitaries like Hon. Chief Nwabueze Nnamani, Nkanu West LGA Chairman, Rev; Ambassador Emmanuel Ositadinma Edeh JP, who is the Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria (C.A.N) Enugu State Chapter and the Chairman of the disability law Enugu State, Representatives from the office of Honourable Commissioner for Gender Affairs and Social Development Enugu State, Princes Peace Nnaji who was the Mother of the day, Representative from PDP State Chairman of Enugu State, Hon. Augustine Nnamani who was the Chairman of the Occassion, Representative from the Chairman Nkanu East LGA, Enugu state, Hon. Uchenna Nwobodo, Representative from the Chief Guest of Honor, Chief Everest E. Nnaji (Odengene) also attended the workshop.Deacon Henry Onwujiogu, Hayford Ugwu, Media representatives and many other people graced the workshop which inspired the people with disabilities in Enugu state who attended the program.

Pastor Beloved Dan Anike,Enugu State CAN Chairman Rev, Amb, Emmanuel O. Edeh presented a speech and Lady Amaka Okenwa the Chief Admin Enugu State Ministry of Gender Affairs and Social Development who represented the Hon Commissioner, Princes Peace Nnaji spoke to them on Abilities in Breaking The Barriers in the lives of People with Disabilities and thereby raised their morale on their survivability in the society.

The president of IFEPED, Mr Victor Clifford Ugwu thanked everyone that participated and supported the success of the workshop in one way or the other and prayed for God’s continuous blessings upon them.
