The Executive Director of VDI, Barrister Catherine Edeh in her remark stated that the capacity building training which was the first of its kind for Board of Trustee members was supported by AMPLIFYCHANGE.

She stated that the Strengthening Grant provided by AMPLIFYCHANGE has indeed repositioned VDI to more effectively provide the needed leadership on matters that affect women and girls with disabilities in Nigeria.

She further stated that, apart from strengthening its institutional capacity, the grant from AMPLIFYCHANGE is equally helping to change the narratives in terms of disability inclusion especially for women and girls with disabilities in Nigeria.

She noted that, under the project, a 7-points demand was presented to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Chief (Dr) Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who on the spot, gave a handsome financial support to 68 women and girls with disabilities who visited him at the Government House in Enugu State on April, 2022.
