OPEN STREETS ABUJA marked the 4th UN World Bicycle Day through a road show organized to reinvent the culture of walking, cycling, use of mobility aids by persons with disabilities and places for people in our cities.
The event which took place on Saturday 4th June, 2022 at Abubakar Abdulsalami way, Apo Legislative quarters, Apo, Abuja witnessed a large number of young people including those with disabilities from different clusters of disability.
The event saw OPEN STREETS ABUJA collaborating with many other organization such as TGI (Transport Growth initiative), CCD, HAPI, FRSC, ICA and many others.
The event witnessed some interesting programmes such as Amputee and wheelchair race, street debate and poem, street dance , street football, street art exhibition, games (scrabble, Chess,Draft and Carb , Children cycling and staking competition, Neighbourhood seat out, Family sack race, Family Cycling Lesson, Neighbourhood workout and yoga, and talks on Positive Family social activities.
