TAF’s Advocacy Visit To WE – FM Abuja: OPDs call for policy on disability inclusion

As part of their EU-ACT Project Implementation Activity, The Albino Foundation(TAF) paid an advocacy visit to seeks to “Enhance the Advocacy & Engagement Capacity for the Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), in the FCT”.

TAF was accompanied by 5 Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) which were received gracefully by the Station Manager of WEFM. The team engaged him in the implementation of the “Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities Act (2018).

The accessibility of WEFM facilities was discussed, and they declared being open to our technical input to create an internal policy, are open to employing persons with disabilities, collaborating with other OPDs who want to partner with them, and lastly, will create a policy on inclusion within.

The Albino Foundation already partners with WEFM to discuss the content of the Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities Prohibition Act (2018) every Monday at 8 am.
