PWD Farmers Association Celebrates as Gov Adeleke Empowers Their Agricultural Ventures with Tractor and ₦8.6 Million

In a heartwarming display of support and inclusivity, the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has provided significant assistance to the Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) Farmers Association, bolstering their agricultural initiatives with the provision of a tractor and a generous grant of ₦8.6 million.

The momentous occasion unfolded during the official flag-off ceremony for the newly procured tractors and other essential farm inputs, aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity across the state. The event, held with much fanfare, signaled a renewed commitment by the Adeleke administration to support all segments of the population, including those often marginalized, in the quest to boost food production and invigorate the local economy.

Members of the PWDs Farmers Association were visibly elated, expressing their deep gratitude to Governor Adeleke for his unprecedented gesture. For many, this marked a significant milestone in the history of the association, as they had never before received such substantial support from any previous administration.

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Disability Matters, Hon. Olarewaju Oladosu, who also serves as the Coordinator of the PWDs Farmers Association, could hardly contain his excitement as he spoke to journalists at the ceremony. He lauded Governor Adeleke’s administration as one that truly embodies the principles of inclusivity and equity, ensuring that no one is left behind in the state’s developmental agenda.

“We have never had it this good under any previous government,” Hon. Oladosu remarked, beaming with pride. “Governor Ademola Adeleke has indeed shown that he is a people-friendly leader, one who does not discriminate in any form. This support will go a long way in alleviating the challenges faced by our members and will significantly improve our agricultural ventures.”

The tractor, now at the disposal of the PWDs Farmers Association, is expected to revolutionize their farming activities, enabling them to enhance their productivity and, consequently, their livelihoods. Additionally, the ₦8.6 million grant awarded to a PWD participating in the Osun Broiler Outgrower Production Scheme (OBOPS) is poised to invigorate his poultry business, providing much-needed capital to expand operations and achieve greater success.

Governor Adeleke’s gesture is seen by many as a testament to his commitment to the welfare of persons with disabilities in Osun State. By ensuring that PWDs are included in the distribution of tractors and other agricultural support, the Governor has demonstrated his resolve to foster a more inclusive and prosperous state for all its citizens.

Hon. Oladosu emphasized that the PWDs Farmers Association would continue to stand firmly behind the Adeleke administration, offering their unwavering support and cooperation in the collective effort to elevate Osun State to greater heights.

“The Governor has truly put smiles on our faces,” Hon. Oladosu continued. “We are deeply grateful and appreciative of this recognition and support. It’s clear that Governor Adeleke is a father to all, and his commitment to our welfare speaks volumes about his leadership.”

As the ceremony drew to a close, the atmosphere was one of celebration and renewed hope. The PWDs Farmers Association, now better equipped and more confident than ever, looks forward to a brighter future in which they can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the state’s agricultural output.

Governor Adeleke’s administration has once again underscored its dedication to fostering an inclusive society where everyone, regardless of their physical abilities, has the opportunity to succeed. With this latest intervention, the Governor has solidified his reputation as a leader who not only listens but acts decisively to improve the lives of all Osun State residents.
