Ikeaka also emphasized the importance of collaborating with other government ministries, departments, and agencies to enhance disability data collection and management, a crucial step towards informed policymaking and planning.
Esther Bature, the Country Coordinator of Sightsavers in Nigeria, echoed the sentiment of collaboration and partnership, highlighting her organization’s efforts to strengthen national systems for delivering sustainable services to PWDs. Bature highlighted Sightsavers’ support in the development of a comprehensive five-year national strategic plan for the NCPWD, emphasizing the need for continuous monitoring and evaluation to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
