FCT whips Kebbi 7-0 as Kano humbles Lagos 3-0 in the ongoing parasoccer tournament in Abuja

National Disability Summit kicked off with Parasoccer tournament to mark the International Day for Persons with Disabilities 2021

In a match played yesterday at Old Parade ground, Area 10, Garki, Abuja, FCT team thrashed team from Kebbi State 7-0.

Earlier in the day, Kano State edged out Lagos State 3-0.

Matches will resume today when Katsina will rock horns with Sokoto at 8am. Lagos will try to redeem themselves when they engage Zamafra in the second match of the day at 10am, Kebbi who suffered humilitating defeat yesterday will battle Nasarawa at 2pm while the FCT will be looking forward to consolidated their fine start when they face Plateau state in the last match of the day at 4pm.

Misbahu Lawan Didi who invented the sports while speaking with the press called on the minister of sport to recognize and list parasoccer in the National Sports Festival in order to encourage numerous talents among persons with disabilities.

Kano, Kebbi, Sokoto, Katsina, Nasarawa, Plateau, Kwara, Zamfara, FCT and Ajanaku Foundation Lagos are participating in this tournament being organised by the Para-Soccer Federation of Nigeria in collaboration with the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities which comes up on December 3rd.
