ES, NCPWD, Lalu pays condolence visit to Humanitarian Ministry over the death of Nkechi Onwukwe, Special Needs Director

In a solemn mood and retrospect, the Executive Secretary, National Commission for Persons With Disabilities, Mr James David Lalu led the management and staff of NCPWD to commiserate with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development over the death of the Director, Special Needs department of the Ministry, Mrs. Nkechi Onwukwe yesterday January 31st, 2023.

Speaking at the occasion, the ES extolled the virtues, and commitments of the late Director in the affairs of Persons With Disabilities.

“Nkechi Onwukwe devoted her entire life serving the community of PWDs without holding back in any capacity” he said.

In a press statement signed by Mbanefo JohnMichaels I, the Head Press and Public Relations Unit (NCPWD), The Commission helmsman pledged the Organization’s support in the burial rites of the deceased.

Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.

“As an institution, we will support the Ministry and family in paying the last respect to the late seasoned Civil Servant”.

Lalu prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Director as he consoled the management and staff of the Ministry as well as the immediate family she left behind.

Earlier in his welcome remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Dr. Nasir Gwarzo described the deceased as a happy and loving personality who did her best in all responsibilities.

He equally seized the platform to encourage everyone present to always check on their health status in order to keep fit at all times.
