The National Commission For Persons With Disabilities (NCPWD) has concluded arrangement to commence training of persons with disabilities on digital media.
In a press statement signed by Mbanefo JohnMichaels I, the head of media and public relations unit, NCPWD, the training will commence tomorrow 27th – 30th September, 2023.
The following are the details of the agenda of the event.
Course Title: Effective Use of Digital Media and Basics of Cinematography for Persons with Disabilities
Course Duration: 4 Days
Course Objectives:
1. To provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of digital media and its effective use.
2. To equip participants with the basic knowledge and skills required for cinematography.
3. To empower persons with disabilities to express themselves creatively through digital media and cinematography.
4. To enhance participants’ confidence and self-esteem in utilizing digital media tools.
Day 1: Introduction to Digital Media- Understanding the concept of digital media- Exploring different types of digital media platforms- Understanding the power of storytelling through digital media.
Day 2: Effective Use of Digital Media- Techniques for creating engaging content- Accessibility considerations for persons with disabilities in digital media.
Day 3: Basics of Cinematography- Introduction to digital cameras and their features- Basic camera handling techniques for persons with disabilities- Introduction to cinematography and its role in visual storytelling- Understanding camera angles, shots, and movements
Day 4: – Lighting techniques for cinematography- Composition and framing principles.
Introduction to video editing software and tools- Hands-on practice on editing video
Certificate distribution and closing ceremony
