Advocacy for women with disabilities initiative (AWWDI) on Thursday, 21st December, 2023 organized a Walk To Promote Sexual And Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) Of Women With Disabilities.
The Walk which was organized with support from Hivos Welead, Women with disabilities took over the streets of Lagos in their hundreds to express their sexual rights and disability Rights.
This was done to express their sexual choices and asked the public and must importantly the duty bearers to respect their decisions as part of disability Rights in the state and Nigeria at large.
The women with disabilities and some youths move on the busy streets of Lagos distributing IEC materials with messages of disability justice, freedom from sexual attacks, sexual and gender based violence, choices and inclusion in sexual and reproductive health rights programs and policies.
