Mazi Abbey in collaboration with AFGRAS (power of sports) to organize, spons, develop Para Sports in Nigeria. This good news was disclosed on wednesday at a meeting in Lagos. Dr Bob Olukoya, the Chairman of AFGRAS Foundation assures Persons With Disability who are into sports of better day ahead and the readiness of the foundation towards reawakening their potentialities for self-empowerment. Mr Mazi Abbey promises to give all the necessary support towards the development of para sports in Nigeria. Mr Ibrahim Anifowose, Head Medical Unit, AFGRAS and Rant Head Quarter’s(RANT HQ) Boss, Susan Coker also pledges to support and give necessary media support to the initiative. Mr Ayodele Awobona who is the Director of Para AFGRAS highlights some of the challenges facing para sports in Nigeria: like poor funding, inadequate facilitate while Raheem Yusuff Olatunj, Assistant Director AFGRAS and others members of AFGRAS give kudos to AFGRAS Foundation and Mazi for taking keen interest in Para Sports.
