A man with physical disability, Hon. Mike Maikumo Gideon have been nominated by APC his party to contest for councillor at Karu ward, Abuja Municipal Area Council at the upcoming election.
He was nominated after winning the primary election but one unsatisfied candidates questioned his victory at the Primaries and took the matter to the party headquarters.
Thank God, the matter was resolved yesterday Wednesday 28th April, 2021, now he is the authentic flagbearer of APC at the next council elections in the FCT.
In a message he sent to TQM, he said “We ended well at the appeal yesterday and my nomination is validated. As it stands now, I am the flag bearer of APC for councilorship of KARU ward”.
Hon. Mike Maikumo Gideon appealed for the support persons with disabilities and other persons of goodwill to help canvas for votes for him. He told TQM that he is contesting because he want to show that persons with disabilities can perform better than others. He has a lot to offer to his people, all he is asking for is opportunity and the time is here.
Hon. Mike is also the newly elected assistant Sport Secretary, JONAPWD FCT.
At TQM, we say his our own, we should throw our support behind him and voters with disabilities in that should vote for him and also convince their friends and families to do the same. We should support ourselves politically to achieve the visibility that we have always desired.
