CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES IN OYO-STATE, IBADAN.

Mr Raheem Olatunji Yusuf, the founder and CEO, Yutex entertainment welcome all the invited guests and thanking them for honoring the invitation also giving huge appreciation to Mrs, Monica Anan, CEO, Essence-Bridging the Gap for her financial support and brain behind the event also thanking all the special schools for honoring the invitation most especially, Ibadan school for the Deaf for their support as well.
He said: “ He urged all the parents making sure they take very good care of their children whether they have disabilities or not because every child can turn to treasure or every child can become great in life as a result of that, in respectful of the current challenges we are facing today we must make sure we provide qualitative education and quality care for children with disabilities so that they can be able to become what they wanted to be in life or in the future”.
More so, there’s need for government at all levels for provision of mobility aid to the children with disabilities to enhancing ultima performance of every child being provided for because the future of every child living with disabilities matters.
However, Mrs, Grace Alexander CEO, Star Children Development Initiative (SCDI) said every child matters why? Simply because they are created by God and God deliberately created every child no matter the disabilities for a purpose in life.
She said: “she’s privileged she has a disabled son 27years of age of which she is very happy giving birth to him as her son and she takes good care and loves him dearly”.
Furthermore, she urged the government to show more love and concern with enabling environment for children living with disabilities because all child are the same but only have different behaviors and importantly they all created by God. She also urged the parents of all child living with disabilities to love and support their children, try to always know their child and understand them more. Most parents should seek for help and advice about their disable children and stop locking or isolating them in the society.
She asked: “HOW DO YOU SEE YOUR CHILD?”
The special Assistant to the Governor on people with special needs, Honorable. Femi Timothy Onasanya said we are disabled but we are not broken.
He said: “ the children should look up to him as their role model and never look down on themselves by giving a very powerful and important advice that despite the fact he’s disable he never looked down on himself, he still strives hard to become relevant person in the society today and also encouraged the children to always say this to themselves.
