Mohammed Abba Isa who bagged an Award from Our Nigeria News magazine visited his state governor, Gov. Mai Mala Buni to present his award and also brief him about his ambition to become the APC Disabled Leader.
In a statement sent to TQM, Mohammed Abba Isa said that when he shared his idea of contesting to lead persons with disabilities in APC, his governor gave him his blessing and endorsed his ambition.
“Gov Mai Mala Buni Endorsed my Ambition. Today I visited the residence of His Excellency, Honourable Mai Mala Buni, the Caretaker Committee Chairman of our great party, APC.The visit, this time around is very significant because it avails me the opportunity to present my award to him and at the same time inform and consult him on my intention to contest the position of the National Disabled leader of APC in the forthcoming convention”.
Abba described the governor as his mentor and a father figure for many years.
“The governor has been there for me morally and financially In all my activism and advocacy. The supporting role he plays in all my endeavours has been very critical” Abba added.
Upon presenting his Award of Excellence, Ability in Disability” to the governor, Abba said that the governor was very happy as he offered a prayer of blessing to him, saying “sky will be my limit in the course of activities to humanity”.
“On my intention to contest the position of APC disabled leader the governor gave me the go-ahead to vie for the position.The endorsement I received from the Chairman Caretaker Committee of our party is a big boost as I am going to use my vast experience to uplift the plight of the Persons With Disabilities by liaising with national and international donor agencies and partnering with the relevant government agencies to come to the aid of PWDs”.
“We have over 31million Persons Wih Disability in Nigeria, I will make sure they are all attracted to APC through people-oriented policies of APC” he stated.
