In a press release signed by Mbanefo JohnMicheal I, the head of Media and Publicity, NCPWD, the ES, while appreciating the Chairman for his hospitality, reiterated President Muhammadu Buhari’s agendum to take Persons with Disabilities off the streets by creating job opportunities through 5 percent access to employment both in Public and Private sectors in Nigeria.
He entreated the Chairman never to relent in providing good course and excellent leadership for his people.
Lalu further besought Hon. Daniel for his support in areas of providing better life and opportunities through job creation for Persons with Disabilities within the Area council.
“Quite a large number of PWDs are very gifted and educated, they are Persons who have withstood the test of time from those who oppressed and discriminated against them. They have taken up the challenges by improving themselves in different spheres of life and as such have become increasingly useful and important assets in the society.
“However, the Chairman who was pleasingly surprised by the visit could not conceal his elation and gratitude. He described Lalu as “that son of the soil who is always on the quest to make his people proud, a selfless and detribalized leader and a gentleman”
Hon. Daniel also made known that though he has never discriminated against PWDs, he would take a cue from the visionary leaders like President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State and James Lalu himself and see that Persons with disabilities are better treated in Mango Lacal Government Council. Nevertheless, the ES used the favorable chance to pay a condolence visit to the family of late Da Nelson Bakfur, (HRH) the Mishkaam Mwaghavul of Mangu kingdom. While addressing the wife of the deceased, the ES implored her to see the sad event as a devine will and draw closer to God while praying for the peaceful repose of his dear soul.
